You'll still be keeping your heart rate up and burning energy, which is the whole point of circuit training. If you're sitting out for five seconds no big deal, but if you think you need to skip an entire move (here's looking at you round 3 of power squats) jog for the 30 seconds. One tip for the times you feel like you need to take a break (I seriously know how you feel there): jog in place during those moves. It's probably going to take awhile, but like others have said, it's not like working out is going to make you fat. Next week will be my 5th week - do to work/school I can't exactly workout 7 days a week (well, arguably I could, but I wouldn't be very happy with the lack of sleep), so I end up working working out one day between two off days, then working out for four days in a row, wash, rinse, repeat.Īnyways, in my mind I'm letting myself go on to month two when I can get through an entire week without skipping an exercise. I say go for it! Then again, once month 1 is done you might be ready for month 2! I might be as well! Just keep DIGGIN' DEEPER and do what makes YOU happy with the work you're putting in! I don't want to do what I did last time, so repeating month 1 doesn't sound too bad of an idea. I still take additional breaks, but I'm really giving it my all. Each day I get a little stronger, and the workouts seem (right now) to get harder. I personally, didn't feel very proud of how I handled it the first time around.

It's a great feeling accomplishing full sets and being able to get what you feel is satisfactory from the workouts you're trying to do. This past Saturday I just started Insanity again and I feel where you're coming from about repeating month 1.

Then the Christmas and New Years came and I gave up my dedication, and my diet (for the most part). I took a TON of breaks, and honestly, kind of half-assed it because I just wasn't fit enough. So initially, I went through months 1 and 2, just to see what I was messing with. I wanted to go through all the sets without taking as many breaks as I knew I would probably be taking. I told myself when I got Insanity in October that I would do it over and over and over again until I got it right. TLDR: Just go ahead and do month 2, you will struggle, but its worth it alternative is to alternate between month 1 and month 2 days like I do now. I also started seeing alot more changed in my body when I went on to month 2 because it pushed me so much harder. It's like you started insanity all over again, you just have to push to finish and obviously you wont be able to finish the video in month 2 if you cant in month 1, but theres nothing wrong at all with taking extra breaks as needed. I said naaaaa, I am gonna do it anyways, if I don't try how will I know? I was right, it completely obliterated me, and I loved it. I wasn't ready to start month 2, because I felt that month 2 was going to whoop my ass because I couldn't handle month 1.
